On 10 March EBCDA hosted a major conference called Race Relations in East Belfast; Myths and Realities
This was a follow-up event to a similar conference that took place in 2014. With support from Belfast City Council's Shared City Partnership, the event began with an overview of current hate crime work taking place across the city.
In November 2019 EBCDA trained fourteen participants in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training). Thank you to all who attended and we are pleased to have facilitated fourteen more caregivers in our community. ASIST is a two-day interactive workshop that prepares caregivers to provide life-assisting suicide firist-aid intervention.
