Sydenham Community PartnershipEBCDA manage this project on behalf of DSD Area's at Risk. Sydenham Community Partnership exists to provide a better quality of life for all the residents of Sydenham, an area of Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Partnership shall uphold the best interests of the community, working together in Partnership with relevant voluntary, statutory and community sector agencies to address the clear Social, Economic, Environmental, Educational and Health issues that affect the area, as outlined through various research and community audits which deems Sydenham as an “Area at Risk” under the criteria of the Department of Social Development. We will also work in partnership with local people and stakeholders to co-ordinate local strategic planning and actions in pursuit of greater economic, social and environmental well being for the areas citizens. Working together on common objectives, the group hope to affect the re-emergence of Sydenham as a thriving, vibrant sustainable community. To this end, Sydenham Community Partnership has been proactive in drawing on support and expertise from both inside and outside the community to affect an Action Plan/Strategy aimed at addressing many of the clear inequalities that have contributed to the areas continued decline. |
