East Belfast Community Development Agency

The Health Team in EBCDA hosted a physical activity event in the setting of Victoria Park in June. The aim of the event was to raise awareness on the benefits of exercise and increase fitness levels of participants young and old in the East Belfast area, whilst promoting the use of the Connswater Greenway.

Children and parents from Elmgrove Primary School came along to join in the fun and improve their health by taking part in activities provided on the day.

The activities included a mile walk, mile cycle, athletics and multi – sports as well as bouncy castle. The younger children enjoyed Monkeynastix and a Teddy Bears Picnic with a healthy snack and prizes for the ‘cutest teddy’
