EBCDA’s Health Connections and Development Programme ran a Lay Health Information Worker Volunteer Recruitment Event at Knocknagoney Community Centre on Tuesday 1st September 2009. The event offered free activities including Complimentary Therapies, Turkish Shaves, Health Information Stands, Haircuts, Smoothies, Fruit Salads and Refreshments, Health MOT checks and BBQ.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Tesco Knocknagoney for their contribution of vouchers towards this local event and the Knocknagoney KNIGHTS men’s group for their support, both of which helped to make the day a success.

As a result of the day, we have compiled a list of names from the area who are interested in volunteering in the Knocknagoney Healthy Living Centre and EBCDA's Health Connections and Development Programme will follow this up in the coming weeks.
