Environmental Project Sydenham Aug 08Youth Leader Mark McFeeters with young people from Youth Initiatives Belmont Road who took part in the second phase of development of a Community Allotment for Sydenham in conjunction with Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland and Sydenham Community Partnership Aug 2008. Many thanks to all those young people who took part for their fantastic hard work and dedication to this task which will benefit many people in the community including children and Senior Citizens in the coming months. Young people from Youth Initiatives with Conservation Volunteers both of whom worked side by side in continued development of the Community Allotment for Sydenham at Sandbrook Park Aug 2008. Big thanks to all who gave up their time to take part. Sydenham Youth Galway TripPupils of Ashfield Secondary Boys and Girls Schools in the Ardmore Hotel Lobby on their trip to Galway for an Outdoor Adventure weekend. The boys and girls got to take part in an Outdoor Adventure week with ten other young people from Finglas as part of a Cross Border Initiative through Co-operation Ireland in August of this year. Many friends were made during the week and Sydenham Community Partnership Youth Group hope to build on the relationships created and success of this event by inviting young people from Finglas to Belfast in a few months time to take part in similar activties through Lagan Watersports or Shaws Bridge.
