| Men and Boys - “Run for your Life” Event |

The spectacular grounds of Ardgillan Castle in Balbriggan was the place to be on Saturday 4th September 2010 when over two hundred runners took part in the inaugural "Run for your Life" get up, get out and get going event. Taking part were members of the Wise Men Network and Health Development Worker from EBCDA. The event was part of international men’s health initiative, which proved a great success and was organised by Men's Health Forum in Ireland in partnership with the GAA, FAI, Irish Heart Foundation, Marie Keating Foundation and Irish Cancer Society. The day involved competitive 10km and 5km runs, and a 3km fun run / walk. The results of the runs were 10k run, First John Reidy in 39:06 mins, 5k run, First Tom Reilly in 20:55 mins. Men and boys set personal challenges for the day and enjoyed free health check and football skills activities throughout the day.
