Men’s Health Clinic opens at the Arches Centre

An East Belfast Men’s evening clinic has been launched Arches Medical Centre by the Belfast Health Trust.

 

The following services will be offered during the 20-30 minute appointment :

·                     A health assessment - BMI, blood pressure, Blood Screening and urinalysis.

·                     Opportunity to discuss general health and wellbeing, including mental health.

·                     All results will be sent to men’s own GP.

 

There will also be opportunities to sign-post men to health promoting programmes and activities operating in the area, such as smoking cessation and keep fit.

 

The clinic began on Wednesday 8th September, 6-8pm.  The clinic will then be available every other Wednesday until 15th December 2010 and begin again on 5th January 2011 every other Wednesday until 30th March 2011.

 

Men are also welcome to call into clinic to make an appointment.   

If someone calls into the Arches at any time during the week, enquiring about the clinic, their details will be taken and followed up by the men’s clinic for an appointment.  Men can also ring Elaine McNamara on 90563307 to make an appointment.
