Board of Directors

Cliff Kennedy (Chairperson): Cliff is Director of the Oasis Centre based in Castlereagh Street. He is especially involved in economic development initiatives and a range of training courses. Cliff is also Chair of the East Belfast Churches' Forum.

Janice Cherry (Vice - Chairperson): Janice works in a voluntary capacity within her own community in Castlreagh.

Sammy Douglas (Treasurer): Sammy is a self employed Economic Development Advisor. Sammy is committed to the social, economic and cultural regeneration of East Belfast.

Bernie McConnell (Secretary): Bernie is a Community Development Worker with Short Strand Community Forum for the past 15 years. prior to this Bernie was a voluntary community worker in the area for 6 years. Bernie has a strong interest in developing communities and assisting them in sustaining their development.

Rev. David Brown: David is the Minister of Knocknagoney Church of Ireland. He has been responsible for developing a major capital scheme in the area, the Aslan Centre, which seeks to provide facilities for various community groups in the area. David has a keen interest in promoting church and community links.

Des Meredith: Des is an active member of "The Hopefuls - Island Day Centre" and is committed to working for disabled people in the Centre and East Belfast and addressing the issues which affect their daily lives.

Rachael Davison: Rachel is currently employed as a Centre Manager for Walkway Community Association.

Rev. Mervyn Gibson: Mervyn is the Minister of Westbourne Presbyterian Church. Mervyn has a keen interest in promoting church and community links.

Tommy Sandford: Tommy is a volunteer with theCregagh Community Association.

Liz Oslon: is a volunteer for the Braniel Community Association.

Joe Watson (Co-Option): Joe is employed by Belfast City Council as an area community development Worker and is based at the BCC Neighburhood Office on Beesbridge Road.

Beryl Carson (Co-Opiton): Beryl is a volunteer for the Belfast East Seniors' Forum.
